Artist Profile
Sirikan Bunjongtad (Jae) is an ACC grant alumni and socially engaged puppet artist who has worked with puppetry since 2003. She specializes in both creating and promoting the art form, often using recycled materials to craft puppets that tell meaningful stories. Her hands-on workshops transform waste into narrative tools, blending art and environmental awareness. Jae performs and collaborates internationally, with participation in numerous puppet festivals and artist residencies. Since 2023, she has been a puppet builder with Puppet & Its Double Theater (Taiwan) and was part of the first graduating class of the International Academy of Puppet Arts, where she presented her graduation piece, A Snail. She is also the founder of Puppet Siam, which has organized the Puppet Slam in Bangkok since 2024, in collaboration with fellow Thai contemporary puppet artists.
