Synopsis 

Enter the enchanting world of “The Water Symphony,” a puppet show that blends fantasy and intimate storytelling, bridging generations and touching the hearts of children and adults alike. Set in a magical environment reminiscent of the depths of the sea, we meet Milo, a lively little fish dancing inside a golden cage, and Luigi, a human seeking comfort in a relaxing bath. As

Milo and Luigi move within their shared space, a radio announcement about a grand show at the Blue Crab Theater piques Milo's curiosity, while Luigi hesitates to allow this intrusion into their peaceful world. Just as the tension rises, a menacing sound signals the arrival of a sea creature, but to their surprise, the very artists from the show emerge in the bathroom to showcase their talent. An octopus tap dances, a man-fish plays the saxophone, and the mermaid Marianna sings a song of freedom. The reaction of Milo and the human after the artists' intrusion symbolizes a journey of self-liberation, breaking free from previously perceived boundaries.

Artist Profile

Ignazio Bortot is a multidisciplinary artist with a strong connection to puppetry and figure theatre. Specializing in the construction and manipulation of puppets, masks, and scenic objects, Ignazio uses these skills to bring to life poetic and visual narratives that blend craftsmanship with live performance. His interest in figure theatre is interwoven with a background that includes contemporary dance and improvisation—tools that allow him to explore movement as an expressive means to animate his characters and create imaginary worlds. Among his experiences are tours with Teatro Circo Soluna and the creation of a Lambe Lambe-style puppet theatre, a miniature theatre format in which he has performed at street festivals throughout Italy. Today, Ignazio focuses his research on the narrative potential of figure theatre, developing new projects where puppets, the body, and space come together to create new performative languages.
